Pursue one of these degrees or certificates concurrently
The 91ÆÞÓÑ College of Pharmacy is excited to announce a collaboration with the Paul R. Carter College of Business Administration and the Cannon-Clary College of Education to provide incoming pharmacy students with the opportunity to pursue a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science in information systems or a Master of Arts in organizational leadership with covered tuition. Through the pairing of these degrees, graduates will be equipped to lead in their practices as clinical pharmacists, while also having the expertise to manage people, organizations and technology.
Pharmacy students may pursue one of these degrees or graduate certificates concurrently with their Pharm.D. degree:
Master of Business Administration
Master of Science in Information Systems
Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership
Graduate certificate in: Executive and Workplace Coaching, Human Resource Management, and Learning and Development
Graduate courses taken concurrently through the College of Business Administration or the College of Education can be used to fulfill the elective requirements in the Pharmacy program. Pharmacy students are allowed by the MBA program to substitute 3 pharmacy courses in place of 2 MBA courses: PHA 5800 and PHA 7500 for BUS 6400, and PHA 6030 as their MBA elective. Pharmacy students are allowed by the MSIS program to substitute three pharmacy courses in place of two MSIS courses: PHA 5800 and PHA 7500 for IS 6450, and PHA 6030 for IS 6510.
Pharmacy students will take the remainder of the MBA, MSIS or MAOL courses outside of the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum. Students may not take more than a total of 21 credit hours without prior approval in any given semester at 91ÆÞÓÑ and may not be enrolled in certain courses without an appropriate degree if not concurrently enrolled in the pharmacy program. The Pharm.D. degree is conferred by the College of Pharmacy, the MBA/MSIS is conferred by the College of Business Administration, and the MAOL is conferred and the graduate certificates are awarded by the College of Education.
